The days are getting shorter and we are getting ever closer to that first frost of the year. We are starting to put the gardens to bed for the winter and are finalizing our plans for next year. The tulip bulb shipment will be arriving this week and bulbs will be planted in the weeks ahead. We are scaling down our growing operation and moving things around to, hopefully, make the work of farming less strenuous! This week marks the final days of going to market for Concession Road Garden. The last day for us at Westdale Village Farmers' Market on Tuesday 8, Oct. (4-7pm) and then at Locke Street Farmers' Market on Saturday 12 Oct. (9am-12pm). For both markets this week, we'll be bringing seasonal bouquets and pumpkin arrangements for fall and thanksgiving, as well as the last of the Quince. There may still be some flowers in the weeks ahead, depending on when that killing frost occurs! So if you're in need of a bouquet or arrangement - do get in touch! If we don't see you in the coming week, please know that we are so very grateful for all your support in 2024! And before too long, you'll find us sowing seeds, pulling tulips, and preparing for the markets in spring 2025.
